Windows explorer is very slow in expanding folders

Hi all,

Whenever I try to expand the folder via clicking the small triangle next to it, it takes too long for it to expand, maybe a minute or so. This is really bothering me especially when browsing folders. I also looked at my task manager and seen nothing that would slow down my PC.

Is there a way to fix this? How?

Thanks.

Dear Charity,

I can understand what you feeling after this issues. There are many possible causes for slow expanding the folders.

1. Open my computer and right click on 'C Drive' then click on 'Properties' then click on 'Tools' tab and press "Check now" button. This will check your hard drive and remove all errors. Hope your problem solved.

2. Install some good Antivirus and after update of virus definition, run a complete system scan. If virus detect, remove all infected files, remember not quarantine just delete all files.

I hope these two solutions will improve your system performance.

Cheers
