 A pleasant day to all,

I've uninstalled and reinstalled ITunes a couple of times to get around this error, but nothing works. I'm trying to establish a connection with Itouch 3G, by the way.

Any ideas to fix these?

Will greatly appreciate all the help.

Check if you have Megamanager or Megakey or any other Megaupload software installed on Windows. if you have Megamanager or Megakey installed, uninstall it from your Windows, then restart iTunes.

Now the iPhone or iPod should be detected on iTunes without start the Apple mobile device service manually. In case your iPhone or iPod still not detected on iTunes, start the Apple Mobile Device service manually.

If uninstalling them, or you have none those software installed, try this step:

  • Uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support from Control Panel.
  • Install AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi from older version of iTunes 10.0.0.6.8.

Another step:

After uninstalling iTunes, quicktime, apples software update, bonjour, apple application support all apple folders in program files and all iTunes folders could find on system and restarting computer and downloaded and installed the 10.01.22 itunessetup.exe version and it worked.
