Hi there,
I have this WiDi adapter I have been using with my Intel BT210 Smartphone to stream music to my HDTV for a while, I am interested in purchasing a Tablet and I have been wondering if there is any Tablet running on Windows 8 which has this feature, How can I make a Tablet with a CPU capable of WiDi to work if the feature is not indicated on the tablet?
Windows 8 Tablet with WiDi capability
Hey Avah,
Yes, there is a tablet running on Windows 8 which has this feature. You can make a tablet using Windows 7 that is compatible to Wi-Fi using the following step:
Step one: download Windows 7 compatible version from this site.
Step two: uninstall your current Intel ProSet and also remove all settings: in control panel-to uninstall a program – search for” pro-set (wireless wifi) then select (change) then click on remove option to remove all settings.
Step three: now u can install the ProSet you had downloaded in step 1.
Step four: re-install the WiDi software, and you can use your TV and watch content from either the desktop mode or windows 8 modern UI mode.
