Windows 8 fails to start the interactive services detection

Hi there,

In Windows 8 this service now has been set to Manual and stopped by default as opposed to Running under Windows 7. When I try to start this service in Windows 8 you will get the following message. Does anyone have a solution for my error ? What could be the problem ?

In fact in Windows 8 this service is set as manual, it is not set as default service. Therefore you get this error.

Follow these steps

  1. First of all you will have to adjust a service key by following steps
 
  • Hive:HKLMwindows-service
  • Path: system current control set control windows
  • DWord: no interactive service

       2.  Change value "1" to "0"

       3. Now start interaction detection service by service.mcs.
