Windows 7 Installation problem on vista acer aspire 5536 laptop

Hi,

I am trying to install Windows 7 onto my Vista Acer Aspire 5536 laptop, and this message comes up,  'Please reconfigure your boot. wim file to use flag 9 settings for the first image, and restart your installation. Error code 0x8030002F'.

There is no help anywhere else, to this problem except people saying boot laptop from CD/DVD.  I have done this and the Windows 7 stuff does come up, but when it gets to installing it, a message comes up saying that I will have to take the disk out, restart my laptop and then let Windows load normally and then put the disk back in, but this does nothing. Someone help me please!

Simple, you are trying to install 64-bit operating system on 32-bit laptop thus this problem occurs. Install Windows 7 32-bit instead of 64-bit. Replace your installation CD. Kelin

Yes,

Acer Aspire 5536 supports 32-bit operating system. So try to install a 32-bit Windows 7 operating system. You can see what is your laptop's configuration. Just right click on 'My Computer' & select properties.

I recommend you to use a nice conditioned installation CD/DVD. Because if you use a bad CD / DVD, your installation may be interrupted.
