My PC is running really slow. I want to format some disk drives. Actually, one of my drives has many files and folders and the drive is infected as warned by my Anti-Virus. I think that I should format the drive but will this remove the viruses which have settled inside the drive?
Will Virus vanquish after Local Disk Drive format?
Yes, unless the virus has affected the BIOs.
If the virus has affected BIOs you would know as soon as you turned on your PC.
Formatting will delete all your data from the drive so be careful about that. Better, use antivirus software like Avast or Avira. It will automatically delete malware from the hard drive.
Formatting will remove virus from your hard drive, but keep in mind if backups have been made or other drives connected to the computer have a virus, your computer can become re-infected.
Protect your computer with antivirus.
