Why Windows7 automatically installs the drivers in older version of computers?

I installed Windows 7 and it directly installs the drivers of my computer. It is advantageous because it saves time, but does it have disadvantages also? I am a newbie in here.

Dear,
I have understood your problem and I have a solution for you. This will resolve the problem completely.
As you know win-07 has a large variety of functions as compare to old version of windows.

It is basically one of its features that it automatically installs the drivers of previous/ old system.

The reason is that these drivers are built-in in the win-07 files automatically. These drivers are already added to its backup files. Because to make it compatible with the old versions of windows. That’s why you no need to reinstall these drivers.
