Hi,

My computer operating system is Windows 7. But Recently I started having a problem. I can't install Microsoft Visual Studio C++6.0 . When installing has reached 80%, then this message is shown, '' iavasing.dll was unable to register itself in the system registry " and "Microsoft visual studio c++6.0 is not successfully installed ".

What's the reason ? Can I install Microsoft Visual C++ this way. Please guide me.

Due to OS development, and as the time goes on, Microsoft is making changes and updates, and for those updates to be effective for all the users they limit the new editions of Operating Systems to only new programs.

For example: new compiler programs.

The clue of this is that you cannot install Microsoft Visual Studio C++ 6.0 but you have to install MS Visual Studio 2008 or later, you can download it for free on the official Microsoft web page,

Here is the download link.

Hi,

For Visual Studio 6.0 products, they are not supported in MSDN. First of all you have to check what OS are you using. When using Visual Studio 6.0 products on Windows Vista or later OS, that will generate some issue since Visual Studio 6.0 products are not supported. So better to use Visual Studio 6.0 on XP and try to install with the admin account.

Thanks!
