Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 Setup is not able to retain because the logged-on user will not have the account authorizations that are necessary to make global updates to the Active Directory.

The setup needs the user who is active on when Exchange 2016 is installed and has access to create and modify the objects in its Active Directory.

If you are running the Exchange 2016 Setup in your company for the first time, the account you use should be a member of the Schema and Enterprise groups. These permissions are necessary because Active Directory is designed for Exchange 2016 the first time it is run. After the Active Directory is generated, the account you use to create additional Exchange servers should be a permanent member of the Organization Management group.
