If you have already tried rebooting your computer many times and it did not help solve the problem, try checking your hard drive for errors. The error is somewhat like an internal error of the application which can be caused by an invalid entry in the current loaded project or maybe a disk error. If this is a disk error, try checking your hard drive using any disk utility application that you may have on your computer. Otherwise, use Windows disk check to check the file structures of your hard disk.

  1. Right click on drive C and then select Properties.
  2. Click Tools tab.
  3. Click Check Now.
  4. Check Automatically fix file system errors and then click Start.

After the disk check run the application again. If the same error appears, uninstall Autodesk Inventor Simulation 2009 and then install it back to restore its settings back to default. If the same error still appears even if you reinstalled it already, check your entries in the loaded project. It might contain invalid entries or values that are already not acceptable by the application.

Here are Autodesk Inventor Simulation 2009 system requirements:

  • Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 4, Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 for 32-bit and Service Pack 2 for 64-bit, Windows Vista Service Pack 1 all editions.
  • Pentium 4 2 GHz, Intel Xeon, AMD Athlon or higher processor.
  • 1 GB RAM or higher recommended.
  • 3.5 GB free hard disk space.
  • 128 MB OpenGL-capable video card.
