I came across this McAfee disk washer tool and wanted to use it on my Windows 98 pc but couldn’t get it to work. Is this tool not available for older versions of Windows?
What’s the latest Windows version that this could be usable?
Other than that, is there any similar tool for older Windows versions then?
Thanks for the tip.

Hi,
Download free "Disk Washer 2012".
This tool is compatible with Windows 98 too. It has faster performance, has the compatibility for maintaining system.
It was tested on different anti-virus software's including McAfee VirusScan.
It won't be hard to use "Software".

Good day!
Compatibility. Yes, that is the answer; this software you recently wanted to install in your computer with windows 98 as the operating system , will not really work because there are some DLL's , drivers , etc are still not yet available in Windows 98, but
I am sure it will work on Windows XP onwards but I would like to recommend CCleaner(
http://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER), it has the same function with disk washer tool.
Hope I have helped you!
Take care!

If that tool was among the tools being offered by McAfee, it is probably no longer supported and no longer offered as download. In this case, it is no longer safe to continue using the tool. I tried searching for that tool but unfortunately, I can’t find one. If you managed to locate one version, check the system requirements first and verify your computer meets those requirements.
If you have one version installed on your computer but is no longer working properly, try to uninstall and reinstall. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install. Once installed, start Revo then select your McAfee program among the applications and click “Uninstall.” Follow the normal uninstall process. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click to restart later.
When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and click to delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, exit Revo then restart the computer. After booting, install the McAfee program back.
If you want to try the latest free tools from McAfee, head down to the McAfee Free Tools page and download the tool you need.
