I have a Dell XPS 15 that has a Core 2 Duo processor, 4 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD and Windows 7. Listening to music with the onboard speakers is a bit annoying as it popping when the volume is turned up. Where can I download the free version of SoundMax Tuning Down Tool?

The SoundMax tuning down tool contains drivers and utilities for SoundMax audio chips. Unfortunately this tool is available only for Windows XP and later it was discontinued. To tune down your laptops speakers you can use Equalizer APO. Equalizer APO is an parametric equalizer for Windows. One of it`s features is various number of filters. If you don’t want your music to go popping when you raise the volume, what you need are bigger speakers and not a tuning tool. Here, enter your laptop’s service tag, serial number, or model number.
You can find it printed on the side or bottom of the machine. Once your product is located, click it to go to the product page. Download and install all available drivers and software for your machine. This should make all the devices on your machine to work at optimum performance particularly the sound card.
