Therefore in order to get the right syntax, you will need to rigt source for your flavour of unix: here are a few for the major flaovours: http://www.debianadmin.com/basic-linux-commands-with-man-pages.html for debian; www.linuxquestions.org for Red Hat linux; www.centos.org for centos.
