Hello,

Find out that when I launch Mixxx that a plethora of error messages pertaining to the missing-file nature become layered upon one another. What is it? Can you provide solution step by step to resolve this matter? I would be grateful to you.

MIxxx – MIDI script error

Mixxx- MIDI Script file problem

There was a problem opening the MIDI script file

/usr/share/mixxx/mid/Hercules-DJ-Console-RMX-scripts.js.

No such file or directory.

Hi there Michael M Mellott,

 

The error you're getting says that the file Hercules-DJ-Console-RMX-scripts.js is missing. This can be due to the unsuccessful installation, corrupted files or lack of permissions. 

 

The easiest way to determine the problem is to open the path in your explorer. Go to the path stated in the error (/usr/share/mixxx/mid/) and see if there is a file named Hercules-DJ-Console-RMX-scripts.js.

 

If there is no such file, the easiest fix is to reinstall the software. 

 

If the file is there, permissions are not set correctly. You can resolve this either by changing the permissions on the folder and files in it, or use the Administrator account when working with the software.
