I recently bought a new smartphone, and the box says it is a wireless 'hotspot'. It is an Android phone, and I went to the settings tab and selected 'turn wifi on'. Nothing happened. Am I doing anything wrongly? What exactly is a hotspot, and how can I use it? Thanks.

Hello

Wi Fi hotspot is used for public wireless network like networks in cafes. But in our case that is not. You can connect via WIFI if you have WiFi network in your range. When you turn on wireless adapter you should be able to find available wireless network. Wireless network is like old internet connection network but without cables. To be able to access on wireless network you need to have: wireless network in range, account or name for that wireless network and password too. If you have those few things you should don’t have problem to access. Provide those few thing and you will be able to connect to wireless. WiFi hotspot is the name of wireless you have in range. Try to find other network and connect to it.

Hope i helped
