What’s the best way to file share large files?

Hello,

I am looking to file share large files. I am conflicted as to whether I should use a free site such as adrive or a paid site such as divshare. Is it worth the money or do you get nearly the same with the free versions?

Hi Sue,

Here are some decision points you should consider while making your decision regarding using a free site or paid service –

1. Are you comfortable with ads that are displayed on the free sites?
2. Are you uploading files just for one time sharing OR you might now need to share them more than once?
   1. Some of the free services might delete your files after sometime.
3. What could be the largest file you might need to transfer/ upload?
   1. This is an important criteria, many such services (free as well as paid) put an upper limit on the file size that can be uploaded.
4. Does the service require installing special software?
   1. You might want to consider this if you would need to be accessing your account from workstations which might not have those special application installed in them.

Hello

The problem with free site is the traffic can overwhelm it thus difficulties accessing,unlike the paid it can handle the traffic to the site.

There is the issue of customizing and extra features in paid site but free is limited features or non in some cases.

It is usually worth the money since the following things:

• Speed
• space
• functionality

What’s the best way to file share large files?

Hello,

You don't need to use any paid license of any site. They allow uploading several files according to limit. You can split your large files into smaller ones and upload them one by one.

Though this task is a little bit annoying, but money saving.
