What is the purpose of Cydia App?

Cydia Apps purpose is to jailbreak  IPhones. Just recently it was found out that it was to  trick the users that it was an app from Apple.  Is there  anyone who has benefited  in this app  from Cydia in jailbreaking their IPhone? 

Any issues after they have used this app?

But some of the users didn't have any problems with iPhone (3G) on 5.0.1 when jailbroken since  it depends what 'certain apps' were talking about.  Some people that experience Cydia crashes and empty packages and sources listings in the past week.  

They keep getting a error message stating that there username or password is not correct on their email account., but it doesn't seem to be a problem on wi-fi.   And some having some significant troubles with their JB iPhone  4 (iOS5.0.1) after using "certain" apps.

Cydia is an app that gets installed when you jailbreak your iPhone/iPad/iPod. Some people would really love customizing their IOS products which usually not permitted by apple.
 
Having Cydia, allows you to customize your phone's looks, add utilities and get some cool apps that is not available through the Appstore.
 
The disadvantage of getting your phone jail broken is that apps usually crash and you need to reboot your phone most of the time.
