What Is WDDM Service

WDDM is a windows display driver model. It is a graphic driver architecture used for video card drivers. It has better graphics performance and stability. In early versions of the computer, WDDM was not used, but after the removal of XDDM from windows 8, WDDM has become the only best option.

Stunning features of windows display diver models are virtual video memory, scheduling, cross-process sharing, enhanced fault-tolerance.

One main limitation of WDDM is that it does not support multiple drivers. Suppose if any computer has a multi-monitor system that provides multiplied graphics adaptors, then all the adapters should use the same WDDM driver.

Various versions of WDDM are WDDM1.0, WDDM1.1, WDDM1.2, WDDM 2.0, WDDM 2.3 and many more.
