What is the ideal size for an icon for map?

I am now creating a map application for my Android Project. I want to use the best and easiest software to design an icon. What is the ideal size for an icon for map? It seems that my current size overlaps with my map design. Thanks

What is the ideal size for an icon for map?

Hi Sharipcheney,

Depend on your type of icon and your screen resolution, you can choose different size for your icon.

Launcher icon: 36×36 px (ldpi); 48x48px (mdpi); 72×72 (hdpi); 96x96px (xhdpi)

Menu icon: 24×24 px (ldpi); 32x32px (mdpi); 48×48 (hdpi)

Action bar icon: 18x18px (ldpi); 24x24px (mdpi); 36x36px (hdpi); 48×48 (xhdpi)

Status bar icon: 18x18px (ldpi); 24x24px (mdpi); 36x36px (hdpi); 48×48 (xhdpi)

Tab icon: 22×22 px (ldpi); 28x28px (mdpi); 42×42 (hdpi)

Dialog icon: 24×24 px (ldpi); 32x32px (mdpi); 48×48 (hdpi)

List view icon: 24×24 px (ldpi); 32x32px (mdpi); 48×48 (hdpi)

In information table above: ldpi = low density screen (120dpi); mdpi = medium density screen (160dpi); hdpi = high density screen (240dpi); and xhdpi = extra high density screen (320dpi)
