I had a virus infection on my PC few days ago and it still is. I need to delete the virus before it would brick up my PC. The virus is located in a subfolder in D:. I came to know this when in opened a folder named NVIDIA but I don't have any GPU. My PC froze after that. When I tried a full system scan with Avast, it shows nothing but still the thing is in D:.

My friend NVIDIA is an industry producing semiconductors, video games and consumer electronics. It also provide windows drivers to users. Make sure you are not stitching up the folder named NIVIDIA.

Most viruses can easily detectable by using anti-virus software. Try another anti-virus. I suggest you to use 'Avira anti-virus'. It is the best anti-malware software I've ever seen. If the file is still undetectable by using Avira do format your hard drive or partition named 'D' (which is carrying NIVIDIA folder) or install new Window in your computer.

Hope it will work.

When your anti virus fails to delete a virus, it means the anti virus is outdated compared to the virus. To solve this you need to update your anti virus then try re scanning again. If it still does not identify and delete the virus, you might have to try another antivirus. I would recommend AVG antivirus or Kasersky. They work great compared to other anti viruses I have tried before.
