If a printer is an output device, how then will you explain OUTPUT DEVICES to a beginner in computer technology?

What are output devices in computer technology?

Which device that outputs information from a computer is called, an output device. Since most information from a computer is output in either a visual or auditory format, the most common output devices are the monitor speakers, Headphones and printer.

Actually which device will work for give output or feedback in computer that we called output device such as monitor shows the pictures or videos as a output result, so that’s an output device. Same as printer also giving us data as printed format, So that’s also an output device. Every equipment or hardware of computer which show output as the basis of input command that’s called output device.

An Output Device is a piece of hardware that is used receiving information from a computer. Some devices are both an input and output device and can transfer information in one of two directions depending on the current situation. A disk drive is an example of an input/output device. Some devices can be used only for output – for example, a printer and a monitor.

Most devices require the installation of software routines called device drivers, which allow the computer to transmit and receive information to and from the device.

The most commonly used output device is the computer's monitor, which displays data on a screen. Devices such as the printer and computer speakers are some other common output devices.

The opposite of output is input, which is data that is entered into the computer. Input and output devices are collectively referred to as I/O devices.

To define an “output device”, it is any device used to send data from a computer to another device or user. The majority of data output that are intended for humans are in the form of audio and video. That’s why most of the output devices used by people are in these categories like for example monitors, headphones, projectors, speakers, and printers.

An “output device” is any peripheral that receives data from a computer that is normally for display, projection, or physical reproduction. One example is a printer, an output device that can produce or make a hard copy of any information displayed on your monitor or screen where the monitor or screen is another example of an output device.

Printers and monitors are two of the most common output devices used with a computer. Output devices allow communication between computers and users and other devices. Other common output devices that people are familiar with include monitors which produce or create video output, speakers which produce audio output, and printers which produce text and graphical output.
