I have windows 10 with me. Nowadays when I am trying to open my system, it is giving me an error, that says unable to find nvhotkey. Where do these modules reside on the laptop? What is this nvhotkey and how the errors associated with these keys occur?
These NVhotkeys are used to sound and graphics. These belong to NVIDIA hotkey services. You should scan your system for malware because the malware may have corrupted or removed the NVhotkey files from the system. You make sure to keep the automatic update mode in on state always to avoid this error. You can try with clean booting the system. You can try by updating the drivers by going to safe mode. If nothing works, then uninstall the NVhotkey and reinstall them.
The “nvhotkey.dll” file is an NVIDIA Hotkey Service Module. If the file is reported missing on startup, try to uninstall and reinstall your video card driver. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install. Once installed, start Revo then select your NVIDIA video card software among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process.
When you are prompted to restart the computer, click to restart later. When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, exit Revo then restart the computer. After booting, install your NVIDIA video card driver back.
