The development of iPhone from year 2007 up to present time contributes big improvements in our daily activities. During 2007, it was the pioneering year of iPhone but the people were not easily convinced to the new taste/ style of the phone. Of course when we say “pioneer”, first thing that comes to our mind is “TRIAL” or “Experiment”. It means it will take a lot of improvement. But through the years the Apple Company produces/ releases the improved version of the phone to satisfy their consumers.

Let’s now go to the features of the phone, the first phone which was the first generation iPHONE was similar to the iPod touch version of the APPLE. It had the same appearance to the iPod touch and it can send text messages.  But the battery life needs improvement, its OS was a little bit slow and some program crashes.

For the 2nd and 3rd generation iPhone which were the iPhone 3G and 3GS. It was actually similar to the first generation iPhone but it had more improvements compared to the previous model of the phone. Assisted GPS, 3G data and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA and OS 2.0 are some of the improved features of it. It had also rear 2.0 megapixel camera like the first phone but it had no zoom, flash and can’t support video recording.

The 4th and 5th generation iphone were iPhone4 and iPhone 4s released on early 2011. I can say 2011 was the “golden year” of the Apple Company. They earned billion dollars from the market. They  released the new and fresh  appearance of iphone compared to the traditional body of the phone. It supports video recording, improved camera resolution, faster iOS and siri technology.

The latest generation iphone is the iPhone 5. It was released on September 2012. This is the most controversial phone in mobile technology history. Because people were expecting a big changes but the apple made only few including the increased height and screen size of the phone.  But the Apple made a monstrous improvement on its performance. They have a iOS6 installed which is the latest OS of the apple. The improvement of performance includes faster speed, improved camera resolution of 8.0 megapixel with panorama capability, 3d viewing and longer battery life.
