Why buy when you can opt for free antiviruses? Â
Some of the best ones are:
1.  Avast! Free Antivirus – currently the most popular freeware antivirus because of its ease of use and being a full-featured antivirus.
2.  Avira Antivirus – has the highest detection rate among the free antiviruses.  It is arguably better than Avast! but a slow update process is one of its disadvantages.
