What is the address footer? How does it work? Where does it use? Please tell me about details. Is address footer important to web page?

Hi,
Footer in a website are basically those which you see at the end of the website. This can be something they mention about copyright, disclaimer, some useless stuff that you wont look at the end of the website those are called footer.
Most of the develops of website doesn't make use of these footers. They may actually give information about the copyright disclaimer and small stuff which is not that useful. If you are looking at the website footer you may not find any thing important rather you may be asked to press some button to go up. This is how address footers are used these days.

Address footers are used to write address in web page. Address footers are used specially for showing address in web page. Here is the example of address footer.

A standard feature of every well-designed web page is the address footer. The address has two required elements:
The date of last revision of the page; and an email link to the person responsible for the page.

The address might also contain:
Copyright information; and further contact information such as a telephone or fax number or a mailing address.

As you can see from the example above and from my footer at the bottom of this page, footers often appear smaller in relation to the type size of the page contents themselves. To format an address footer, first type the contents of the footer.
Remember that if you want to single space the contents of the footer, use a soft carriage return by pressing Shift + Enter on the keyboard.
To add the copyright symbol © to the footer, place your cursor,then select Insert, Symbol from the main menu. The Symbol dialog box will appear. For a website to be effective, every element on the page, from the header to the footer, needs to add to its overall usability and readability.
