Hello,
I have an HP notebook, I regularly use Skype calling. But from the last few days it stopped working without any reason. I have not noticed with that webcam has stopped working and I updated the Skype, but now microphone also stopped working. If I make an echo call it works. If I make a call to other people later it won’t work. If I try to do video call a picture of youcam displays and asks to start my webcam shown below.
The same message will show when I try to use my webcam on chatroulette, Omegle, etc.
When I start the youcam program I will get this error message
CyberLink YouCam
Warning
No webcam detected. Try plugging in a webcam into your
Computer now. If you are using an integrated camera, make
Sure that it is turned on.

In Skype’s latest version some permission glitch has been introduced. This glitch offers the installer the permissions that are supposed to be offered to the user. This error has been encountered by almost every Skype user. The following is a solution that was offered by Skype on one of their forums.
“Click Start> Run, type the following and click OK:
regsvr32 c:windowssystem32vbscript.dll
Click Start> Run, type the following and click OK:
regsvr32 c:windowssystem32jscript.dll”
You can also find more on their forums since they are in a better position to help. Thanks.
Webcam doesn’t work properly in Skype
Hi Raymond,
The most likely cause is the driver software got corrupted.
-
On your desktop home screen, click on start and then right click "Computer" and choose Manage option.
-
Click on Device Manager and choose Imaging devices.
-
Your web camera will be listed here. Right click on it and see the properties to view the device status.
-
Use the update driver option in there to update your device driver.
This will solve your problem!
