Good day! I've had Skype for years and never had a problem with it but i recently installed Windows 7 and am now having issues but i don't know if they're related as it was working fine until today. I was trying to uninstall the Click to Call feature as i don't need it but it keeps coming up with this **bleep** error 2738. I don't understand why i can't simply uninstall this feature. I then tried to log on to Skype but when i click to sign in it opens up a web browser page that says 'index of file'?! I've uninstalled n reinstalled Skype but this doesn't fix anything and I've downloaded that Microsoft Fix It program but i don't understand what I'm supposed to do with it since it doesn't seem to do anything. Does anyone have a workaround for this? Thanks.

This error is caused by missing registration of the vbscript.dll component, which Skype installer needs for uninstalling/re-installing Skype Toolbar. I’m afraid that you will get the same error with the new version too. In order to register vbscript.dll do the following:
Windows Start button -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Right click on Command Prompt, select 'Run as administrator'.
You should be in directory C:WindowsSystem32
Type regsvr32 vbscript.dll (enter)
Should get a message box saying DLL has been registered.

As the information’s I got while researching the error it’s like this. Windows occurring this error because the Script Engine of Windows is not properly registered. To fix this error automatically the Skype Community has provide a support link on their webpage. From https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/skype?auth=1 link you can connect to that page.
Then click on “Fix This Problem” button in blue color. After that a setup file will download. Double click on it and it will start setup. After that Restart your computer and try your task. I hope this opinion will sole you problem.
