HTTP status codes that start with “5” signify cases in which the server is aware that it has come across an error or is unable of carrying out the request. Server error 504-Gateway Timeout means that the server performing as a gateway did not receive a timely response from another server that it was accessing. This error usually occurs in internet browsers.  The problem is with the servers and not with your computer or internet connection. Other users that are visiting the website might have been experiencing the same problem as you. Hence, it can be fixed by the host of the server. However, you may try to do the following:

1.       Refresh or reload the webpage. The server error might only last for a few minutes.

2.       Access the website through a different proxy because the problem might be in the recent gateway or proxy that you used.

3.       If you cannot wait for the server to return to service, contact the webmaster and inform them about the problem.

4.       Wait and open the website later.
