To edit Group Policy Object (GPO) on Windows Server 2012, follow these steps meticulously:

  1. Double-click GPO in the GPMC tree which opens a forest. Then, click on the domain whose GPO needs editing.
  2. Point at the GPO and right-click it which will give you the option of editing.
  3. Click on Edit and edit the settings as needed in the console tree.

Remember to have a configuration of Account policy settings in the default domain.
