Waiting for another application to complete an OLE action

Hi to all readers,

Please allow me to share here in techyv my problem regarding Microsoft Excel; this problem occurred when I saved my file.

Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel is waiting for another application to complete an OLE action.

When I received the error message above, I am thinking of a system failure, so restarted my computer and just forgot the work I made will be lost. But when I am back to try again, the same error message appeared when I just tried to save a little editing I've done with my worksheet.

Since this is my first time to encounter this error message, I don't have any idea on how to deal with this scenario.

Please share with me your ideas on this.

Thanks.

Hi,

This is actually a Microsoft issue. Here you did not mention about which operating system and which version of Office you are using.

No problem. Please update your computer minimum Service Pack 2 and all other Microsoft new patch.

Now please follow the procedure below. Hope you can resolve your problem.

1. Click File then click Options then click Advanced and then under General check ignore other applications that are using DDE.

2. Click Data then click existing connection and then remove if any connection you have there.

Hi,

This error message may come as a result of a corrupted add-ins you have used in your Excel sheet. For identify which add-in caused this issue, first disable all add-ins in the Excel workbook by doing the below steps.

File tab >Options>Add-Ins>Manage >Excel Add-ins>Go>Clear check boxes in very add-in the Add-ins available>>OK

Now Save the Excel. You should not get this error.

Again one by one add the add-ins and check every time if you are getting the error. When you get the error, you can identify which add-in made the error. Then you can leave that add-in inactive.
