Hi techyv guys, I have a problem here with Filemaker Pro, I encountered an error message when I imported a data from Microsoft Excel, you may refer from the image below for better view of my problem.

This file could not be translated using the selected file type.

 

This process of importing data from excel is not new to me, I been doing this for many time when I received a data from field office, what I did first when I saw the error message is to ask for another copy of the data, when I tried it again, same error message was displayed on my screen. Please help me find ways to import this data, thanks.

As per your description that you are getting this file from another party and you are trying to import it to FileMaker.

My question is, do you know that they are making this file by using Microsoft Excel or convert it from third party software.

This problem can happen that when you export anything to Excel file and again import it to FM.

Now please do one thing. Please open this file in your computer and save as this file with same file name but another folder or drive. Now this excel file is genuine excel file and please to import it to FM.
