So I have been using VirtualBox to execute WinXP in Ubuntu (scarcely)

Everything works and I have not had any problem until this error tries to execute the program Game Maker Pro 7.0-1 for having tried to execute a game:

Failed to initialize drawing surface

Sharkienoload

Failed to initialize drawing surface. Please check that your graphics card meets the minimum requirements and that you drive are up- to date. If your graphics card has little memory, try switching your computer to a lower resolution.

What about this error? How can I solve it easily? Experts, I invite you to please it gives many other ideas to solve this quickly.

Hello Natanne Lopes

I quite don't understand you are you trying to say that whenever you run Game Maker Pro this error appears. Well if this is the case then your Graphic card doesn't meet the requirement for the Game Maker Pro or the drivers are out of date.

Game Maker Pro's Requirements

Windows XP, Vista, 7 or Windows 8, 512MB RAM, 128MB graphics, Screen resolution of 1024×600

you can also see them on https://www.yoyogames.com/gamemaker their official site

1) Try to update your graphics drivers.

if that doesn't work

2) Upgrade your GPU(Graphic Processing unit) or in simple words Graphic card.

You can see your Graphic card specs by right clicking on desktop than go to screen resolution and than go to advanced setting.

Thanks
