I can’t install the Openspan studio 5.2 on my primary computer. When the installation begins it shows an error saying

 "Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services "

OpenSpan Plug-in for Microsoft Visual Studio 2010

Service OpenSpan Services (OpenSpan.Services) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

Retry Cancel

Although I have sufficient privileges for starting system services, the problem occurs. Please help.

Hi Jessicaftout,

You did not mention the operating system that you’re using. I am assuming that it’s a windows operating system. First, you have to check if your account is the administrator account. If it is, then you can go ahead to check the policy rule log on as a service is enabled.

Though you are the administrator you still have to enable it because by default windows is disabling it. Next, is that you have to go to Local Security Policy tool in Control Panel under Administrative Tools. After Local Security Policy go to Local Policies then User Rights Assignment and then look for Log on as a service. Then you add User or Group.
