Hello,

I am using this Vegas pro for some time but facing this problem for the first time. For you information I recently upgraded my version from 10e to the latest one. Here in this when I click the files and Render as, an error message appears. And I am facing this error for all render types and I re-installed again thinking that it might be solved. But no, help me fix up.

An error occurred during the current operation.

An exception was thrown by a type’s initializer (.cctor)

Since you are using Sony Vegas Pro 12.0, make sure you meet all the requirements. This is important because you are using the latest version of Microsoft Windows and you need to make sure that your software supports your Windows 8. For Sony Vegas Pro 12, it supports Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 all should be x64.

It also requires additional software like Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 and QuickTime 7.1.6 which supposedly are included in the package. So check them if they are already installed on your computer because if one is missing then that’s causing the problem. Both software should be installed. Sony Vegas Pro 12 doesn’t support Microsoft Windows XP as well as any x86 Microsoft Windows.

It only supports x64 Microsoft Windows. So, since only 64-bit operating systems are supported, check your operating system if it is an x64 Windows 8. If not, replace the application with an x86 version and it should fix the issue. The latest version is Sony Vegas Pro 13 and it supports Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 all should be 64-bit.

It requires Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 and QuickTime 7.1.6 or higher. Sony Vegas Pro 13 has dropped support for Microsoft Windows Vista.
