What are the steps I can do to set-up Microsoft DNS for my home servers? I have five home servers that needs Microsoft DNS so I can start hosting my own website. 

I'm new  in DNS and web hosting so think of me as a beginner.

Use Microsoft DNS for Home Servers

To install Microsoft DNS for Windows NT Server:

  • Click on the Start button
  • Go to Settings
  • Choose Control Panel
  • Double-click on the Network icon
  • Click on the Services tab
  • Click on Add
  • Choose Microsoft DNS Server from Select Network Service dialog box
  • Click on OK
  • Type the location of the Windows NT source file
  • Click on OK
  • Click on Close
  • Re-apply your Service Pack if you have one
  • Restart your computer
