What happens if I do not upgrade Adobe CS3 to CS4 and jump into an upgrade to CS5 instead? Am I going to see major differences between CS3 and CS5? Many people are already familiar with using CS3 and CS5 is already a trend because the interface has changed too.Â
Upgrading Adobe CS3 to CS5
Upgrading From adobe cs3 to cs5 is OK even you don’t upgrade it to adobe cs4. In order for you to install or update cs3 you need to have the serial # of your cs3 and the serial # of your cs5. But if you don’t have serial # for your cs3 I think you need to contact Adobe. But if you have both serial #, install the cs5, and while you installing the cs5 it will automatically detect the old serial # which is the serial # of your cs3 and it will prompt you now only to enter the serial # of cs5 and it will should be successful.  Â

Upgrading Adobe CS3 to CS5
Hi Tucker,
You can upgrade from adobe cs3 to adobe cs3 without any trouble, for the purpose of upgrading is moving to the latest software which in this case is adobe cs5. All you have to do is uninstall the adobe cs3 that you have on your computer, get a copy of adobe cs5 by either purchasing or downloading online and install it on your system. No trouble will arise.
Alternatively, instead of uninstalling the adobe cs3 that you have, you can upgrade it directly by checking for updates from the options in the menu bar. Make sure you are connected to the internet, and then select check for updates. The software that will be found will be the latest one which is adobe cs5.
Hope this helps.
