Can I upgrade to PowerPoint 2010 even though I am using Microsoft Office 2003? And if so, where can I find PowerPoint 2010?

Hello Wallace D Woolard's,

Unfortunately, you can't do an upgrade from office 2003 to office 2010, both of them have a different architecture, earlier ms.office like 2003 version is 32 bit application and office 2010 is a 64 bit version and it is impossible to run 64 bit application in 32 bit architecture.

All you have to do is full installation not an upgrade.

Hi Wallace,

First of all here’s a link to where you can get the latest  MS PowerPoint Package.

So the answer to your question is “YES”. All you have to do is get the version which is compatible with your computers Operating System. By the way, if you just intend to purchase just the PowerPoint package, you may want to consider getting a bundle since the cost are just so close.

Here’s how to check if you have a 64 or 32 bit machine.

  1. Click Start > My Computer or Computer >Right Click
  2. Left Click Properties
  3. Look for something like the image shown below:

Hope this helps!
