Update MS Word only in MS Office 2003

I am currently using MS Office 2003. I want to know if it’s possible to get an updated version of MS Word such as MS Word 2007 and leave the rest as it is. Can I just install the updated version of Word or do I need to uninstall the current version that I am using before installing the new MS Word 2007? Kindly please help me.

Update MS Word only in MS Office 2003

It is possible to update your Microsoft Office. This option is available In the Update software menu on Microsoft Office 2007 Installation Disk. I am giving you different solutions in the following steps:

• Select advance tab and select the software (you can customize some options) that you want to install or upgrade. Select the “Microsoft Word 2007” and ignore the other software.
• If you are using “Microsoft office 2003” and want upgraded version. Then you have to uninstall the Office 2003 to and install the latest version of Microsoft 2007.
• On the same operating system you can install the both versions “Microsoft Office 2003” and “Microsoft office 2007”.
• It’s up to you, which option is most suitable for you.

Update MS Word only in MS Office 2003

Unfortunately I do not think it will be possible for you to obtain just a single package of ms word 2007 and then have the other packages like excel and publisher as 2003, because all of them come packaged in one application which is ms office.

Therefore if you need to upgrade your ms word to ms word 2007 it means you will have to upgrade the other packages too. Do the following:

• Obtain a copy of the ms office 2007 installation disc.
• Uninstall the ms office 2003 that you already have on your computer by accessing the control panel.
• And then install the ms office 2007.

You will like ms office 2007 because it has added functionalities and therefore better performance as compared to the ms office  2003 packages.

I really think you can.. 

as you can see in this screenshot where i Simulated things for you:

I have installed only the Microsoft Word 2007 for my pc,

 

As you can see on my screenshots i have simulated your problems and I did manage to install 2007 words only and the rest is in 2003 ..

Update MS Word only in MS Office 2003

Great, I do want to upgrade my MS Word 2003 to be able to use other functionalities that MS Word 2007 has but at the same time I want to retain some of the options of MS Word 2003. Thanks for the help guys.
