An unknown error occurred when initializing the conversion

Hello,

In Microsoft Dynamics when I try to use the GP utilities and when I try to initialize the conversion I got this error message. I do not understand the cause of this error. Why it is happening? Do I need to change the settings in configuration? Please help me to solve the problem. Thanks a lot.

Hello,

It sounds like you’re having trouble of this kind because of your typing mismatch. Fortunately or unfortunately, you have created the ODBC System DNS calling “Dynamics GP” and spotted it while starting the GP Utilities where you should have done cancelling GP Utilities, renaming the ODBC and restarting GP Utilities.

Rename the ODBC even running GP Utilities. Fixing the typing issue will release you from this type of error.
