Is UNIX or Windows, easier to work with as forensic software checksum?

I have both UNIX and Windows operating systems.

Although I am not very comfortable using UNIX but I have read somewhere that forensic checksum software is easier to use in UNIX.

Can somebody guide me on that?

Hi

Both widows and UNIX operating systems are fine. But windows is user friendly than the UNIX.

There are many forensic software available now but most of them are for windows OS.

And there are some in built utilities in the Unix system.

Because of flexibility of open source software sometimes it is easy to use Unix system.

But most of the good software suit for the windows.

Hello Clark,

Using forensic checksum on UNIX is easy because there are several free easy to use guides on this topic in the Internet.

This is due to the openness of UNIX based Systems. On Windows System, you will purchase this software. This is because UNIX is open source while Windows is not.

The Windows based software are more user friendly to use because of their interface but not as efficient as UNIX based software.
