Unable to switch to Coherence mode

I am trying to switch from Full Screen to Coherence mode but I got an error. "Unable to switch to Coherence. The virtual machine display configuration could not be applied. Please try again or contact Parallels Support …" I am running OS X 10.6.5 and Parallels 6.0.11828. I hadn’t tried to switch to coherence mode for a long time but I was unable to. Please help.

  • Please contact the Parallels support team for assistance in case the problem persists.”, while you are trying to roll back to the coherency view mode, try removing any anti-virus installed in your system.
  • In this case, the issue might be due to faulty video drivers.
  • You need to reset the Parallel Tools in your computer as the drivers for realistic devices are provided by Parallels Tool's case.

In instances when coherence is not working with multiple external monitors (especially using DisplayLink driver), here are the steps to solve the error:
 
1. In the Parallels Desktop, go to Menu > Preferences > USB tab.
2. In the "When a new USB device is detected:" select "Connect it to my Mac".
3. Delete any USB Devices that are listed under "Permanent Assignments:"
 
 
 
This should fix the problem encountered.
