I am trying to install and run PCMark Vantage on my Windows 7 PC, however, it keeps telling me that it will only run on Windows Vista OS. I want to know if there's a way that I can run it on my Windows 7 and what are the steps to complete the process. Thanks.

If you are getting that error when installing PCMark Vantage saying that the program will only work on Microsoft Windows Vista then you are probably installing the older version because the latest version includes support even for Microsoft Windows 8. If you still want to use the version you have and you don’t want to upgrade, try running the installer in compatibility mode to Microsoft Windows Vista.

Though this technique works on some cases but this may or may not work for you and it doesn’t guarantee the successfulness of the process. To try this method anyway, right-click on the PCMark Vantage setup file and select Properties. Select Compatibility tab. In “Compatibility mode” section, check “Run this program in compatibility mode for” and select any of the available Windows Vista settings you see on the list. See image.

Click OK and run the installer. See if the entire process will be successful. In case not, you need to download and install the latest version from PCMark Vantage 1.2.0. This version supports Windows Vista and Windows 7 and is also compatible with Windows 8 though with some limitations.
