Unable to open PowerPoint presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint Web App

Hi there,

When I try to open a PowerPoint presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint Web App, I got this warning error message. For your information, I have all the supported versions in the computer. Do I need to reinstall the Microsoft PowerPoint in the computer? Please help with some ideas, which do not allow any installation. Thanks a lot.

Unable to open PowerPoint presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint Web App

Hello,

This problem indicates some issue with the SharePoint Document Library so this error is popping up. In order to prevent this error, do the following:

1. Go to “C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice14”.
2. Rename the “DLL” file extension to “old”.
   Note that a backup copy is required for safety.
3. Uninstall Office 2010 from Control Panel >> Programs and Features >> Office 2010 Professional Plus.
4. Run Office 2010 setup.
5. From “Installation Options”, select “Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Support” to “Run from My Computer”.
   
6. Complete the setup.

Now your error should disappear without any more annoyance.

Additionally, you can download the file by clicking “Download My File” from the error message for offline browsing.
