That is occurring probably because that application is corrupt, or is has just malfunctioned. I will suggest the following workarounds:

  • Go to the task manager and close the application from there and all the other processes that are being executed by it, and then restart the computer. Try running the application and see if it will work.
  • In case that does not work, you will need to uninstall the application and perform a clean installation it so as to fix any bugs that may have developed in it that are causing the problem to occur.
  • You may also want to scan your system for that may be a problem due to virus infection.

You can receive “unable to open” error if you are using eBahn Desktop and you are using an unsupported operating system. Usually, when you install a program that is not compatible with your machine, the installation will trigger an error and stops the installation. But there are times you can actually install an incompatible software on your computer without triggering an error and your case is one example.

eBahn Desktop supports Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 or higher and Windows XP. Microsoft Windows Vista is not officially supported. It requires Intel Pentium 4 or faster processor, 256 MB RAM, 600 MB free hard drive space, and Windows Internet Explorer 6 or 7. eBahn Desktop doesn’t support 64-bit Microsoft Windows. Though eBahn Desktop doesn’t support Windows Vista, eBahn Reader does but with prerequisites.

For you to run eBahn Reader on Microsoft Windows Vista, you need to run it as administrator. Right-click eBahn Reader and select “Properties”. Select “Compatibility” tab and check “Run this program as an administrator” under “Privilege Level” section then click “OK”. It also requires UAC or User Account Control to be turned on. Go to Turning User Account Control ON for instructions.
