Unable to install graphics adapter on my virtual machine

Hi,

I have installed SIMS 2 on my virtual machine and as I tried opening it an error message keeps on appearing.  Below is the error message I'm getting.

The Sims 2 Family Fun Stuff

Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this system! Please make sure you have a DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manufacturer. The application will now terminate.

I have tried installing some graphics adapter but I think I am getting the wrong driver for my VM.  I uploaded a photo of  Direct X Display Tab i think this one could help you solve my problem. I'm using windows XP as my VM's OS.

Thanks,

Poala

Your graphic card’s drivers are working properly according to the attached image. If graphic card won’t be installed, it won’t show details about memory of graphic card and resolution supported and other etc information which is shown in image.

All you need to do is to download and install latest version of Direct X. You can download direct X from Microsoft official website Download Link1. Merely install it restart your virtual machine. Again launch your game and I hope it would start perfectly and you won’t face any problem again.

Have Fun!!

Thanks Edward,

But as I was installing it a message appeared and said I have already had the current version or my driver is up to date. Could it be possible that the solution to my problem is to enable my 3D? Sims 2 is in 3d mode so am thinking that I should enable Direct3d Acceleration.

Warm Regards
