Hello,

I have an error with Counter-Strike when I want to play with Steam. After this error, and after I have waited for 10 minutes, my steam is still busy to handle my request. It worked fine until today, so is my first problem with it, I never heard about such an error. Please tell me what is with this error message? Why appeared right now and can be solved?

Thanks!

If the Steam client seems to be busy even after ten minutes, close the client and restart the computer. Start the Steam client again and see if the same thing happens again. Also, after rebooting your computer, make sure no other programs are running in the background or running simultaneously together with Steam because it adds load to the computer.

This is not a compatibility problem because Counter-Strike can be played on Microsoft Windows XP and higher so I’m sure it is playable on your Microsoft Windows 7. If you still get the “unable to connect to server” status on your Steam client, you better check your internet connection. It is more likely that your problem is caused by your internet connection.

The best way to check if the problem is with your client is to run other Steam games on your client. If you have other games that use Steam, try running them instead and see if you can play them. If no other games seem to work, try reinstalling the Steam client or download the client again from Install Steam Now.

Uninstall the one on your computer then click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and select Disk Cleanup. Select drive C and click OK. Check “Temporary files”, click OK, and click Delete Files. Restart the computer and then install the newly downloaded client.
