Hello Everyone,

One of my colleagues at workplace is having trouble with his Outlook 2007 program. He can send the emails to everyone but is not able to receive any mails from anyone. When he is trying to refresh the email server, the Outlook 2007 comes up with the error message 0x8000000600. He follows some of the actions to fix this problem like restarting the system and restarting the email server which is MDaemon Standard 11 but yet no difference seen. Google search is also so far ineffective in providing the solutions. Can anyone please help fix this problem?

Thank you in Advance.

Hello,

This error is usually occured due to two reasons.

1). Mailbox Quota Limit Exceed.

2). PST File of outlook corrupted.

Reason 1 can be solved by increasing mailbox quota for the said email account from the server side.

Reason 2 can be solved by creating and activating a new PST file in outlook. Steps to create a new PST file contains:

  1. Close Outlook.
  2. Go to control panel
  3. Select mail option from the control panel.
  4. Mail Dialogue will be opened.
  5. Click on data files tab.
  6. Account settings dialogue will be displayed.
  7. Click on Add and then click new Data File.
  8. After adding new data file click ok.
  9. Account settings will be displayed leave blank for password.
  10. Now again select your newley created data file.
  11. Problem is fixed.
