Trend Micro Titanium shows error

Hello,

I wanted to install Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security 2012 so I downloaded the setup but got an error as shown in the image below that I copied on paint program. Any suggestions?

Installation incomplete

A problem prevented the installer from completely setting up Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security 2012. No changes have been made to your computer.

Please close any other programs currently open before restarting the installer.

Hi Alison Nettles, you didn’t mentioned which Operating system you are using. So I am providing you for Windows XP, 7 and Vista Version solution.

  1. For deleting the contents of Temp folder. Follow these steps:

      a)   First of all Click Start > Computer.

      b) Then Double-click Local Disk (C:) > Windows > Temp.

      c) After that delete all the records inside Temp folder.

  2. For deleting tmtdi.sys.

       a) Need to Click Start > Computer.

       b) And Double-click Local Disk (C:) > Windows > System32 > drivers.

   3. For deleting tmtdi.sys file.

        a) Need to Run the Permission Tool.

        b)  Then Download > save the Permission Tool on your desktop.

        c) Remove the file. For that Type "novirus" while you are pressed for a password.

        Double-click PermissionTool.exe to run it.

4. For deleting the Trend Micro folder in the following locations:

       a) C:Program Files folder

       b) For Windows XP: C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication Data folder

        c) For Windows Vista as well as Windows 7: C:ProgramData folder

5. For deleting the Trend Micro registry entries need to follow the following:

    Note: Editing your computer's registry may be cause serious errors on your computer. Every time build a backup before creating any changes. If you want assistance, Go Help > Help Topics on the Registry Editor window. You can likewise contact Trend Micro Technical Support.

To open the Run window, Press Windows plus R keys on your keyboard.

On the Open pitch> type "regedit" > press Enter. The Registry Editor window will open.

For deleting the TrendMicro registry entries in the following locations:

            HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftware

            HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftware

Reinstall your Titanium program. For guidelines, click on your program below:

Since you received the message “Installation Incomplete” when installing Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security 2012, I guess the installation already started and was interrupted during the operation and then it displayed the message. If that’s the case, check if you have an existing antivirus on your computer. Take note, you cannot install another antivirus program if you already have one on your computer.

It is not possible to install two antivirus programs because they will run over each other. If you already have an antivirus on your computer but you want to install Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security 2012, you should uninstall your existing antivirus prior to installing Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security 2012. That’s the only possible way you can install Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security 2012.

On the other hand, if you don’t have any antivirus on your machine, check if your computer meets the requirements to install Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security 2012. To install Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security 2012, you should be using Windows XP Service Pack 3 (Home or Professional) 32-bit only, Windows Vista Service Pack 2 or higher, or Windows 7 both 32-bit and 64-bit.

For Windows XP, you must have at least 512 MB RAM while for Windows Vista and later, you must have at least 1 GB RAM or higher. Your hard drive should have at least 500 MB free space. In case you are installing it on Microsoft Windows 10, Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security 2012 does not support Windows 10.
