Hi. I'm recently having trouble with my laptop. My touchpad is not functioning so I tried installing drivers windows 7×64 Synaptics Gesture Suite but it's still not functioning. Could my touchpad be busted? I have the Toshiba Satellite C850 that has the Intel Core i3 processor and Windows 7 64 bit.

Majority of laptop nowadays regardless of brand and model versions are equipped with switch button for touchpad function, like Toshiba.

In your case, you did mention about installing a driver but touchpad still didn't work. Let us all bear in mind that aside from calling you product vendor for warranty services and other users manual guide there are drivers/installers that comes with the product.

If it still doesn't work, there are online support that would help you identify what causes the problem.
