TomTom HOME 2.5 Failed with error

I got this new Tomtom Device. I encountered this error message that says “HOMERuntime.exe failed with error 0: Process failed to start up correctly. If this problem persists, please reinstall from:http://www.tomtom.com/home”.

Will I still be able to use my device? What seems to be the problem with this?

TomTom HOME 2.5 Failed with error

Hello Thomas,

You will need to uninstall the TomTom Device completely and then install a fresh copy. If you encounter problems during uninstallation, download Revo Uninstaller from the following link and use it to uninstall the device:

After that get a fresh copy of TomTom from the following link and install it:

http://uk.support.tomtom.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/7448/kw/tomtom%20home

To check the problem, you need to consult your device’s manual for the supported operating systems to verify if your computer is compatible. Check the system requirements and verify your computer meets those requirements. Try downloading the latest TomTom HOME. If you are using 32-bit Windows 8.x or Windows 10, download the latest 32-bit TomTom HOME instead.

For users with macOS, download the latest TomTom HOME for Macintosh. The latest version requires macOS 10.12 Sierra, 10.13 High Sierra, 10.14 Mojave, 10.15 Catalina, and higher. For users with OS X 10.11 El Capitan or earlier, download this instead: TomTom HOME. You can also go to the User manuals page to get the manual for your device.
